RIP my Youtube channel and Book List for (the rest of) 2022

Youtube, we're done. I quit. It's over.

I'm only bringing this up because I said I'd upload a book haul for the first half of 2022. I did film it. I just couldn't bring myself to post it. I just couldn't see the point of it anymore. So here's the story:

About five or six years ago I started a Youtube channel initially because I wanted to make speedart/painting videos. In the last videos I had also started to branch out with book reviews, small book hauls, and once tried to vlog (which was a major FAIL). In the years that I have been making videos I have gone between being dedicated and disheartened and then hopeful and trying again, only with the same result over and over. No matter how hard I worked, I never saw any growth, never got any feedback. It got to the point where I realized it was doing nothing but stressing me out. Not to mention the technical problems I started running into which I already mentioned on my goodreads blog.

I really did enjoy making videos in the beginning. But now, all my joy for it is just dead. It ruined my time after I'd make a video. I'd keep checking it hoping for views/feedback, and it would put me in an awful mood every time my videos died on the vine. It's not worth it. No point in continuing, enough is enough. I will still leave the channel up, but I have already deleted all my videos and I won't be posting any for a long time. That said, I may be (eventually) making videos again as they relate to my stories/novels, but no Youtube again. In fact, the more I think about it the more I realize I no longer like making videos anymore.

Anyway, the bottom line here I guess is I don't know what I kept getting wrong but I just couldn't make it work. Some things are just not meant to be, I guess. So, RIP, my channel.
